Bidding on Bachelors (for Charity) in Talkeetna

The Talkeetna Bachelors Auction & Ball might be a rowdy way to raise money, but it all goes to an amazing cause. The Talkeetna Bachelor Society is a nonprofit organization working to raise funds for women and children in need.

The 37th annual event, only open to women, features bachelors ranging in age from 21 to 70. Tickets must be purchased in advance to buy a man at the auction on Dec. 2 before dancing the night away at the ball. Can’t make it? The “male-order catalog” featuring bios and pictures of the bachelors is a good consolation prize.
