New Anchorage transfer station opens Sept. 7

by The 100 Companies

A new transfer station in Anchorage opens Sept. 7, providing the community with a one-stop shop for recycling and repurposing goods, responsibly handling hazardous waste, and disposing of garbage.

The Midtown Central Transfer Station is celebrating with an open house Thursday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. across the street from its old location at 54th and Juneau. Stop by to learn more about the transfer station, hear from local vendors and win prizes.

Being better informed of trash options allows a community to reduce what ends up in the landfill and extend the ultimate lifespan of the landfill.
