FOX’s “The Great North,” reviewed by an Alaskan

by The 100 Companies

Released in early 2021, FOX’s “The Great North” is an animated sitcom about a single dad raising his family in rural Alaska.

The entertaining caricatures of Alaska life, such as having a moose break into your house and waiting two weeks for a shipment from another community, play well with the “Bob’s Burgers” humor the creators are known for. With an ultimate emphasis on the importance of family in a world of isolation, the obvious exaggerations make it funny and relatable.

The real test is if they will refer to it as a “snowmobile” or “snowmachine.” Only time will tell.
