National Donut Day: Donut mind if I do

by The 100 Companies

In honor of National Donut Day on June 4, here is a roundup some of our favorite spots around Alaska to get your fill of the sweet treat:

• Anchorage: Golden Donuts, Dino’s Donuts, The Kobuk, Wiki Wiki.

• Fairbanks: Jason’s Donuts, The Donut Shoppe & Espresso Cafe.

• Juneau: Breeze In, Auke Bay Cafe, Wild Oven.

• Soldotna: Moose Is Loose.

Of course, National Donut Day is not just about getting your fill of sugar and dough. The first-ever national Donut Day was celebrated to honor the Salvation Army’s Donut Lassies. The lassies were sent to France during World War I to assist soldiers.
