Visiting a national park is a must-do in Alaska, where there are 24 National Park Service sites. Here are some fun facts in light of National Park Week coming up April 16-24:
• Denali National Park & Preserve is home to the tallest mountain in North America.
• Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve is the largest national park in the U.S.
• Gates of the Arctic National Park is the least visited national park in the U.S.
• Sitka National Historical Park is Alaska’s smallest and the oldest federally designated park.
