Pride Month means being proud of who you are; accepting that you are different from others. It is not just a month-long event, it is a daily battle of acceptance, fighting for our rights to be equal, proving we are human just like you. A time to be unapologetically you, beaming with pride and love, never letting anyone make you feel ashamed of who you are or who you choose to love.
The first pride was a riot 50 years ago at Stonewall Inn, which kickstarted the gay rights movement and paved the way to where we are today.
