The Alaska Zoo continues caring behind the scenes

The Alaska Zoo may be closed to visitors right now, but that doesn’t mean the zoo’s staff can head home for a few weeks. The animals that call the zoo home require near-constant care and attention, so zookeepers are still hard at work behind the scenes.

With a mission to promote community enrichment and education, the Alaska Zoo team is also devoting resources to developing complimentary online learning tools and programs.

Anyone who wants to support the Alaska Zoo, which relies heavily on donations for animal care and other programs, can purchase an annual membership or make a donation online.
